Piedmont Newton Hospital is the top small hospital in the state, according to Georgia Trend. Piedmont Newton ranked first among hospitals with fewer than 100 beds in the December issue of the magazine, which features the best hospitals in different categories annually.
This distinction recognizes Piedmont Newton as the leader in clinical outcomes for patients. Georgia Trend based its 2022 Top Hospitals list on data showing clinical outcomes from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Hospital-Based Purchasing Program.
“Delivering high-quality care for our patients, close to home, is our goal in everything we do,” said David Kent, chief executive officer of Piedmont Newton. “I am grateful for the dedication of all of our employees, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic, that made this placement on the Georgia Trend list possible.”
Another Piedmont hospital, Piedmont Mountainside, placed second in the Georgia Trend ranking of Top Small Hospitals this year.
