Feb. 11: Stroke Screening in Cumming
Northside is offering a community stroke screening, at no cost.
The screening will take place Saturday, Feb. 11, from 9 a.m. to noon, at Northside Hospital Forsyth, Bennett A and Bennett B, 1400 Northside Forsyth Drive, Cumming, GA 30041.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 80% of all strokes are preventable. Northside wants to help you identify your risk factors and what you can do to reduce your chance of having a stroke.

Feb. 16: Prostate cancer screening in Cumming
Northside is offering a community prostate cancer screening, at no cost, to measure men’s risk for developing the disease.
The screening will take place Thursday, Feb. 16, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Northside Hospital Cancer Institute Radiation Oncology - Forsyth, 1100 Northside Forsyth Drive, Suite 140, Cumming, GA 30041.
Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) blood tests will be available to men between 45 and 75, who have never had prostate cancer or a PSA blood test in the last 12 months. Interpreters will be available free of charge. COVID-19 safety measures will be practiced according to CDC guidelines. -Pre-registration is required. Attend this live virtual program to hear Dr. Lalitha Medepalli provide an update on cardio-oncology, review when to begin discussing cardio-oncology with your health care team and discuss ways to optimize cardiac health. Dr. Cheryl Jones will moderate this program where participants have the opportunity to ask questions.
