Last week, Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) announced the winners of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition for Georgia’s Ninth District. The honorees included Rebecca Lee from North Gwinnett High School, who clinched first place with her artwork titled "Box of Memories". Jasmine Muniz from Promise Preparatory Academy secured second place with her piece "Velvet Luxury", while Gianna Repta from Seckinger High School took third place with her submission "Farm to Table".

In his congratulatory remarks, Congressman Clyde expressed his delight at the achievements of these young artists. He said, “Congratulations to Rebecca on her remarkable accomplishment of winning first place! I look forward to her artwork being placed in the U.S. Capitol for all of our visitors, staff, and Members of Congress to enjoy.” He further extended his congratulations to Jasmine and Gianna for their silver and bronze placements respectively.

He also acknowledged all participants for their contributions to this year's competition. “Thank you to all of the students in the Ninth who participated in this year’s competition. We truly have some incredibly talented and creative young artists!” he added.

As a result of her victory, Rebecca Lee's "Box of Memories" will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol building for one year. It will join other winning submissions from every congressional district across the country.
