WASHINGTON, D.C. — Congressman Andrew Clyde (GA-09) released a statement today after voting in favor of the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) for Fiscal Year 2025, which passed by a vote of 217-199.

“As a 28-year Navy combat veteran, ensuring we maintain the most lethal fighting force in the world is one of my top priorities in Congress," stated Clyde. "Thankfully, House Republicans’ FY25 NDAA accomplishes this goal by funding, equipping, and supporting our great military."

Clyde emphasized that the legislation aims to enhance combat readiness, deter Communist China, boost compensation and improve care for troops, and prioritize military families. He also noted that this year's NDAA seeks to restore lethality by eliminating policies he described as radical and imposed by the Biden Administration.

"As U.S. military recruitment and retention woes persist amidst increasing threats from our adversaries, Congress must eradicate the Left’s woke, weaponized, and wasteful agenda from the DOD," Clyde added. "I’m incredibly pleased that the House-passed NDAA not only strengthens our military but refocuses our warfighters back to their core mission of defending our nation and protecting our precious freedoms.”
