Clyde announced his intention to introduce articles of impeachment against Judge McConnell, stating "Corrupt Judge McConnell—who stands to benefit from his own injunction—is attempting to block President Trump’s freeze and review of federal funds for waste, fraud, and abuse."
Later that same day, Rep. Clyde reiterated his position by formally introducing articles of impeachment against Judge McConnell. In this tweet, he accused the judge of abusing power and having conflicts of interest. He invited readers to learn more about these allegations through a link provided in his message: " Today I’m formally introducing articles of impeachment against Judge McConnell."
