The Atlanta Falcons have announced the re-signing of defensive lineman Kentavius Street. The 28-year-old player is entering his seventh active year in the NFL and his third season with the Falcons.

Street joined the Falcons in 2023 through a midseason trade from the Philadelphia Eagles, which involved Atlanta sending a 2024 sixth-round draft pick to Philadelphia in exchange for Street and a 2025 seventh-round draft pick. This move was necessitated by an injury to veteran Grady Jarrett during Week 8 against the Tennessee Titans, prompting Street's first appearance for Atlanta in Week 9 against the Minnesota Vikings.

During his initial stint with the Falcons, Street started five consecutive games before he was placed on injured reserve due to a pectoral injury sustained in Week 14 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In those games, he recorded 14 tackles, including four for a loss, along with one sack, one pass breakup, and one fumble recovery.

Despite limited starting opportunities last season due to Jarrett's return, Street played in 13 games and contributed with 15 tackles—four of which were for a loss—and one sack. His re-signing comes as Jarrett has moved on to join the Chicago Bears. The current defensive line roster includes David Onyemata, Ruke Orhorhoro, Brandon Dorlus, and reportedly Morgan Fox.

Before joining Atlanta, Street had brief stints with the Eagles and New Orleans Saints after being drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in 2018. Although he missed his rookie season due to a knee injury that placed him on the non-football injury list, he has since accumulated career totals of 104 tackles, including 21 for loss, along with eight-and-a-half sacks over ten starts and seventy-eight appearances.
