Andrew Clyde addresses potential government shutdown and immigration enforcement

Rep. Andrew Clyde, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia's 9th district since 2021, has been active on social media expressing his views on current political matters. Clyde, who succeeded Doug Collins, was born in Walkerton, Ontario, Canada and resides in Athens. He is an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame and Bethel University with degrees obtained in 1985 and also graduated from the University of Georgia in 1999.

On March 13, 2025, Rep. Clyde posted a statement concerning potential government shutdowns: "If there is a government shutdown, Democrats OWN it."

The following day, March 14, he commented on immigration enforcement under the Trump Administration: "The Trump Administration is working tirelessly to take criminal illegal aliens off of our streets."

Later that same day, Rep. Clyde shared a brief tweet mentioning Black Lives Matter Plaza: "Black Lives Matter Plaza"
