57 percent of applicants to Brenau University were admitted for fall 2018

At Brenau University, 52 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 90 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Gainesville enrolled 2,842 students in fall 2018, including 1,754 in undergraduate and 1,088 in graduate programs, data shows. 19.6 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

86 percent of undergraduates are residents of Georgia, and 12 percent are residents of other states. 2 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (48 percent) and Black or African American (29 percent).

The school admitted 57 percent of the 2,674 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 18 percent enrolled.
