Rep. Andrew Clyde, who has been actively serving as a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 9th district since 2021, conveyed his views on several issues through a series of tweets. Originating from Walkerton, Ontario, Clyde, age 59, now resides in Athens and is an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame and Bethel University.

On April 16, 2025, Clyde endorsed his colleague's address against the Save Act. He stated, " @RepChipRoy dismantles the Left’s LIES about the SAVE Act. Democrats are desperately trying to conceal the real reason they oppose this commonsense legislation: They want non-citizens to vote in American elections."

Later on the same day, Clyde criticized media narratives by focusing on an individual identified in the news. According to his tweet, "The American people are sick and tired of Democrats and the left-wing media’s lies. Kilmar Abrego Garcia is not a 'Maryland man.' He’s an illegal alien and MS-13 gang member from El Salvador."

Subsequently, on April 17, 2025, Clyde expressed his support for efforts to curb government funding of censorship. In his statement, he asserted, "Americans’ tax dollars have NO PLACE funding censorship efforts. I applaud the Trump Administration for cutting this unconstitutional spending, and I look forward to reintroducing my Free Speech Defense Act to eliminate government-by-proxy censorship once and for all."
